Nice work, I like the composition and lighting.
May I have some of her fries? No, without catsup, please. Great lighting, even on the pant leg fabric. In the close up the eyes look like they are reading...a certain focus. And something is always lost when paintings are photograhed, but I can surmise the hidden energy. My best...
Beautiful painting!love the coposition and colors!
Thank you T for using me to help you express your artistic creativity. You did a beautiful job.So where do I pick up the check?LOL.See ya on da court.
A beautiful face. I love the pink lips, the turquoise shirt and the cheekbones, the highlights. The lighting on the bricks reminds me of the theater. I wonder what she is thinking about. Not the menu.
I think she is thinking "this is one uncomfortable chair!"...but maybe I'm just projecting. Beautiful work. Nice job on the wall...sometimes agonizing pays off ;-)
Thanks for your comments...as someone who did printmaking, painting is difficult...and Ive had to devise some devious ways of getting things to look the way I want them... glazes! Thats the thing...use large strokes of glaze to push back and integrate parts and to build layers like patina.. so that large messy brushtrokes combine better and you start to develop subtle ways of working with light and dark or form and space...(gee I sound like a teacher...)I dont know if you can use this advice... it works for me...its my tip of the day to myself too...You have strong marks and gestures..really confident. Wtach when I do the concrete...Im still putting it off for a while...hahaha but Ive done it before on huge scale on movie sets...all background background...now it wil be foreground...EEEEK!
I just watched your video at the top, and your paintings reminded me of the (original) artist in 'Heroes' . Not sure if you have seen it, and it IS meant as a compliment! Lovely atmosphere in your work Tatiana, I look forward to following:o)
i like your bold attempt of composing sitter on the side of the canvas
Dear Tatiana,I just drop by from Digant's blog. There is strong feeling in your painting. As a painter myself, I can always feel the emotion and strenght upon looking other artist's painting but does not feel much about my own painting...sometimes I wonder...
